Effective date: October 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Spreema Scoops collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit scoops.spreema.com (the “Site”), buy from us, or contact us. Spreema Scoops is operated by Spreema, Inc., a Wyoming corporation, with an office in Houston, Texas (“Spreema Scoops”, “we”, “us”). Spreema® is a registered trademark.
We wrote this policy to follow the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and current privacy practices in the United States. If you have a question, write to us through our contact form.
The short version
- We collect what we need to take your order, ship it, and answer you.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
- We share it only with the companies that help us run the shop (payment, shipping, email, hosting), and only for that.
- You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data at any time. See Your Privacy Choices.
Personal data we collect
Data you give us
- Orders: your name, email address, phone number (optional), billing and shipping addresses, the items you order, and notes you add to an order.
- Account (optional): your email address, name and password (stored only in hashed form). You can always check out as a guest.
- Email list and waitlist: your email address, the lists you joined (newsletter, monthly box waitlist), and when you signed up and confirmed.
- Contact form and messages: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and what you write to us.
- Reviews and giveaway entries: the name and words you choose to share.
Data collected automatically
- Device and usage data: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the date and time, kept in our hosting provider’s server logs for security and troubleshooting.
- Site analytics: which pages and products you view, what you add to your cart, the steps of checkout and completed purchases, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city or region, from your IP address). We use an analytics service to see how the Site is used and what to improve. Its advertising features are turned off.
- Session recordings and heatmaps: how visitors move through our pages (clicks, taps, scrolling, mouse movement and page layout) so we can find and fix what is confusing or broken. What you type into forms (such as your name, address, email or payment details) is masked and is not recorded.
- Order source: WooCommerce records how you arrived at the Site (for example, from a search engine, a social media link or directly) and attaches it to your order, so we know which of our efforts work. It is stored in a first-party cookie and is never shared with advertisers.
Data we do not collect
- Payment card numbers. Payments are handled by PayPal on their secure systems. We receive only a confirmation and the last digits needed to identify a payment.
- Sensitive data. We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive personal data, such as health, religious or biometric information, precise geolocation, or government ID numbers.
How we use personal data
- To process, ship and support your orders, including sending order confirmations, shipping updates and receipts.
- To run your account, if you create one.
- To answer your messages and requests.
- To send our email newsletter, only if you signed up. Every email tells you how to stop receiving them.
- To run giveaways and live shows you choose to join.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent fraud, and fix problems.
- To follow the law, keep tax and business records, and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your personal data for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Who we share personal data with
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit how they can use it:
| Who | Why | What |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | Taking payments | Order total, billing details |
| Shipping carriers and label services (such as USPS, UPS and Pirate Ship) | Shipping your order | Name, shipping address, phone, package details |
| Our web hosting provider | Running the Site and storing its data | All Site data, stored in the United States |
| Our email delivery service (sent through GoSMTP) | Sending order and account emails | Name, email address, message content |
| Our analytics service | Measuring how the Site is used | Usage data described above, cookie identifiers, approximate location |
| Our session recording service | Session recordings and heatmaps to improve the Site | Usage data described above, with typed form entries masked |
| MailPoet (our email list, kept on our own site) | The newsletter and the monthly box waitlist: sign-up confirmations, emails, unsubscribes | Email address, the lists you joined, when you signed up |
We may also disclose personal data if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it for targeted advertising. We do not use advertising pixels. Our analytics and session recording services process this data on our behalf, as our service providers.
Cookies
The Site uses first-party cookies to run the store and to measure how it is used:
- Cart and session cookies (WooCommerce) remember what is in your cart and keep you signed in.
- Order source cookies (WooCommerce order attribution) note how you arrived, as described above. They expire after your visit ends or within a few days.
- Analytics cookies tell visits apart and group the pages of one visit. They last up to two years.
- Performance and security cookies may be set by our caching and security software.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The cart and checkout will not work without cookies. Blocking our analytics cookies, or using your browser’s tracking protection, stops our analytics and session recordings on the Site without affecting your cart.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: we do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We still honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of any sale or targeted advertising.
How long we keep personal data
- Orders and invoices: for 7 years, for tax and accounting records.
- Accounts: until you ask us to delete your account.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe.
- Contact messages: for up to 2 years.
- Server logs: for up to 90 days.
After these periods we delete or anonymize the data.
How we protect personal data
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards for the kind of data we hold. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS) on every page, hashed passwords, limited access to our systems, and keeping our software up to date. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as required by Texas and Wyoming law.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, and as a courtesy to every customer, you have the right to:
- Know and access whether we process your personal data, and get a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate personal data.
- Delete personal data you gave us or that we hold about you.
- Portability: get your data in a portable, readily usable format.
- Opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or profiling. We do none of these.
To use these rights, see Your Privacy Choices or use our contact form. We will confirm your request using the email address on your order or account, and we will not ask for more information than we need to do that. We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, up to 45 more days, we will tell you why. We do not charge for requests, unless they are clearly excessive or repeated, and we will never treat you differently for using your rights.
Authorized agents. Someone you authorize may make a request for you. We may ask for proof of the authorization and confirm your identity with you directly.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or by writing “Appeal” through our contact form. We will answer your appeal within 60 days and explain our decision. If you are not satisfied, Texas residents may contact the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection.
Children
The Site is meant for adults. Some of our products are made for children, but they must be bought by an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Email messages
We send marketing emails only to people who sign up. Every marketing email includes our postal address and a way to unsubscribe, and we act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Order and account emails (confirmations, shipping notices, password resets) are sent even if you unsubscribe from marketing.
Links to other sites
The Site links to other sites, such as our Facebook page and PayPal. Their privacy policies, not this one, apply there.
Visitors from outside the United States
The Site is run from the United States and your data is stored here. We currently ship only within the United States.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will post a notice on the Site or email customers with an account before it takes effect.
